Red Shirt Guys asks the Nerdiest Question Ever!
This totally reminds me of the SNL sketch with William Shatner at a Star Trek convention. I guess there really are people like that!

Call Me Senator
I don't know how much more I can take of campaigning right now. The political ads here are vicious and relentless. But if more ads from both parties were like this one by Airplane and Naked Gun director David Zucker, we might make it through the campaign season with a little sanity.

What the What?
I took this screen shot of the news website The Blaze. The Blaze is run by Glenn Beck and the article features a clip from the O'Reilly Factor. Before the clip is a commercial for MSNBC as part of its "Lean Forward" campaign. Considering that MSNBC's Keith Olbermann took a quote completely out of context to name Beck "The Worst Person in the World", it's an interesting strategy for advertising.

Solving a problem by creating a bigger one
You know how obnoxious it is to have a song stuck in your head and not be able to get it out? There is a website to help. Just check out Unhearit.com and that song will be gone, instantly. Unhearit works by playing a new song, equally as catchy (i.e. obnoxious) as the one stuck in your head, thus canceling it out. That chorus to "Hit Me Baby One More Time" will be obliterated from your mind the second you hear the Crash Test Dummies "Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm" or the Andy Griffith Show Theme mashed up with Beyonce's "Single Ladies". Unhearit is also available as an app. Just don't get the new song stuck instead.
Groovy
Continuing on the theme of Halloween I present to you a clip from one of the greatest movies OF ALL TIME!!!! Evil Dead II. Written and directed by Sam Raimi.
If you haven't seen it, we pick up shortly after Ash cuts off his own arm (you see it had recently become possessed).

Baby Costume of the Day: Lobster Pot
A Halloween Count Down courtesy of Best Week Ever. Stay tuned for odd and inappropriate costumes for your children.
The Astro-Zombies
In my next life I'd like to be a B-movie trailer copy writer. This stuff is brilliant.
"Between them they created a blood soaked reign of terror to stagger the imagination. The Astro Zombies are a STRANGE, WEIRD, unbelievable breed of living dead in human form. Their deranged transplanted brains could only lead them to…..MURDER.
Beating hearts and throbbing, living brains transplanted by a scientist who's motives are entirely dedicated to….EEEVILLL!"
The Green Slime
I have such a soft spot for terrible B-movies...especially of the horror or sci-fi variety. This particular one scared me as a wee lad. Seeing it now, I have no idea why.

Oh, Allen....Finally!
Warning! A wee bit gruesome and a wee bit inappropriate. But hey, comedy is dangerous right?
